WordPress Specialist

We are looking for a WordPress Specialist who is proficient in adding and configuring additional features, integrating templates with page builders or blocks/Gutenberg as well as diagnosing and fixing bugs. A unicorn, what! 😆

The Organization

SatelliteWP is recognized as a leader in WordPress expertise; our clients range from freelancers to multinationals, as well as public organizations and NPOs.

We work on the maintenance, cybersecurity, performance and evolution of our clients’ websites. More than 95% of the sites we manage were created by other agencies.

We are also responsible for the Français du Canada locale for wordpress.org in addition to contributing to the ecosystem with open source code.

The Challenge

This is a full-time, face-to-face or hybrid position for a WordPress Specialist role. You will join an experienced technical team that manages hundreds of sites and clients on a daily basis.

The Requirements

Here is what we are looking for in terms of skills and professional experience:

• Excellent knowledge of WordPress (core, extensions, themes, etc.),
• A very good knowledge of the web in general (web hosting, domain names, etc.),
• A good ability to analyze a client’s needs,
• An attraction to organization, procedures and rigor,
• Dynamism, diplomacy and good listening skills,
• Good written and spoken communication, in French and English,
• Academic training in computer science at minimum college level,
• Minimum of 3 years of technical experience with WordPress.

• A Github account and recent commits
• Knowledge of APIs, REST, etc.
• Experience with SASS/LESS, Bootstrap, React, responsive design, etc.
